Budaka Central Police Station has initiated a manhunt for four thugs who broke into the home of Nakaloke Senior Secondary School's Headteacher, Ms. Masitula Nankya, in Nyanza A Cell, Kamonkoli Town Council, Budaka district.
The incident occurred at midnight, with the thieves gaining entry by breaking a burglar window using an axe. The stolen items include three smartphones, one small Mapesa phone, a laptop, two gold-plated watches (not solid gold, as clarified by police), and approximately UGX 220,000 in cash.
According to ASP Kyepasa Wilfred, the Bukedea North UPF PRO says, no arrests have been made yet. He also urged the public to disregard misleading information circulating on social media, specifically claims that two gold watches were stolen. The police are working diligently to track down the culprits and recover the stolen property.
