Unbeaten Busei FC are the champions of 2023/24 Eastern Regional League after beating Mbale garage FC 3-2 in the final playoffs at Mbale stadium on sunday 9th 2024.
Eric wabuzibu and marcus scored for Mbale garage while matego James innocent,muliro jamiru and Thomas kabale netted for Busei.
Busei Fc came from behind after Mbale garage leading 2-1 in the first half of the game.
Busei topped the Nile Group after collecting 54 points in 23 games,drew just seven, and won upto 16 games, scoring 41 goals and conceding just seven in the process.
Busei now will face North Eastern regional champions MYDA FC on a home and away Playoff to determine one team get promoted to a FUFA Big League next season.
While speaking to media Edger luzige the coach for Busei Fc Iganga United,noted that the team have been prepared enough giving the example of finishing the season unbeaten.
He also revealed that the team is ready to face MYDA in the final playoffs to qualify for the FUFA big league.
However,Mbale garage will have to try again next season to have chance for big league after being stopped by Busei Fc in the first playoff.
