Shendi foundation has donated basic items to support pregnant mothers and children in Mbale Referral hospital in Mbale city ,the items includes mama kits,soap and sugar among other.
while addressing the media today Suzan wetsetse gospel Artist as well as the vision bearer of Shendi foundation noted that giving back such social support is to improve well-being of mothers and children in our communities .
"The part of the money we collected from Shendi concert and some donations from well-wishers have aided us to offer a hand to mothers"Suzan said.
She also called upon the fellow Artists to always run donations to their respective communities most especially after acquiring funds from people who always support them during the concerts in order to get God's blessing.
Harriet Kakayi the deputy mayor Mbale city and aspirant woman member of parliament for Mbale city 2026 on FDC ticket, appaulded the vision bearer for having the heart of supporting mothers.
She added that as patron of the foundation,they have a big vision of reaching most of health centres like Namatala,Namakwekwe ,Bufumbo and Nabisoko in supporting mothers.
Kakayi urged leaders to support shendi foundation to achieve its goal of taking up social responsibility in the communities.
Irene Kituyi Assistant city health officer in charge of maternal child health commended the contribution saying it will provide clean and safe delivery to the mothers.
