MBALE CITY : Nasike officially takes over as acting RCC

Asumin Nasike has today officially taken over as the acting Resident Mbale city commissioner (RCC) from Hon. Rex John Achilla.

 Achilla was  recently dropped and replaced by Nasike who was  serving as the Resident District Commissioner from mbale district.

While speaking to the media shortly after taking over the office, Nasike said that is currently serving two workplaces, one as RDC Mbale district as well as RCC Mbale city.

Achilla was reportedly suspended to allow investigations in to the illegal demolition of a building on Pallisa Road in Mbale city.

She called for team work and unity among leaders and residents of mbale city .

"We want to handle the increasing insecurity in the city. i want to enhance and make sure that our people live well, stay well and move any time they wish. That is one of the cores of government to make sure that people are stable and peaceful" Nasike said.

She further revealed that some people in Mbale city have not yet benefited in Government programs such as parish development model (PDM), youth livelihood program(YLP) and Women empowerment (UWEP) among others.

"We are going to make sure that everyone who's supposed to benefit in Government programs gets money" Nasike added.

Nasike also urged the local Government in Mbale city to give out information concerning land grabbing, corruption and poor service delivery hence improved on the performance in Mbale city.
