In a display of generosity, Bugisu Cooperative Union [BCU], the only active cooperative union in Eastern Uganda, has made a remarkable donation of Shs 20 million towards the Bududa-Mount Elgon Trek.

The donation was presented to the organising team on Sunday by BCU General Manager Barbra Wasagali at the Arlington Academy of Hope [AAH] grounds in Bududa district.
The enthusiasm surrounding this donation was further amplified by the contributions of other notable figures. Budadiri West Member of Parliament, Nathan Nandala Mafabi donated Shs 20mln, while Speaker of Parliament Anita Among contributed Shs 10mln.
The Nandala Foundation also donated Shs 5mlnn, followed by FDC Shs 5mln and Budadiri East MP, Isaiah Sasaga donated Shs 2mln.
Nandala emphasised that the funds collected will serve two crucial purposes. Firstly, they will be utilised for the renovation of Masaba S.S in Sironko district.
Additionally, the construction works at Arlington Academy of Hope Schools will receive substantial support from these funds.
