Armed thugs have struck Buwali Catholic Parish found in Buwali Sub-County in Bududa District and robbed the Parish Priest of unspecified amount of money but said to be in millions of Shillings.

The shocking incident took place at about 2:00AM on the night of 24th November, 2023 where the robbers successfully broke into the Parish Priest’s house.
According to eyewitnesses who preferred anonymity, the thugs broke into the house of the Parish Priest, Patrick Obbo and put him at gunpoint asking him to give them money.
The priest in panic showed
them where the church money was kept. The thugs then removed all the money
leaving the Safe empty.

Africano Aharikunbira, the Bududa Resident District Commissioner has confirmed the incident saying security is investigating the matter.
He urged people to be
vigilant during this Christmas Season saying many thugs are on the loose looking
for money.
