Namuganza Promises Corruption-Free Parliament as She Seeks Speakership Seat

Honorable Persis Princess Namuganza the Member of Parliament Elect Bukono County,Namutumba district and State Minister of lands , Housing and Urban Development, Independent and National Resistance Movement leaning aspirant for the Speakership Race , has pledged to deliver a corruption-free Parliament and administration, uphold the rule of law, and prioritize timely financing of all 29 parliamentary committees for oversight visits .

Namuganza added that there need to increase on research and financing necessary benchmarks by able MPs in order to seek new ideas and serve the common Ugandan at the grassroot level if elected.

‎Addressing our reporter at her home in Namutumba district over the weekend, Hon.Princess Namuganza said her campaign would focus on restoring integrity and improving transparency in the 12th Parliament .

‎"Our Parliament deserves transparent leadership that works for all Ugandans. My administration will tackle corruption, create opportunities for our Members of Parliament , and ensure the rule of law is respected,” Namuganza told journalist.

‎In a bid to revamp Uganda's parliament through improving in its services, the incoming Speaker, Right Honorable Hon.Namuganza also has pledged to end the current recruitment based on ethnic lines and favors.

Hon.Namuganza , who has served extensively as Member of Parliament and in different government agencies before becoming an MP, is now aiming for the Parliament's top office(Speaker). Her candidacy on the Independent position her as a key contender in what is expected to be a hotly contested race for the Speakership seat. 

Persis Princess Namuganza born 5th Oct ,1984 ,a Ugandan politician , Social Worker and State Minister of lands, Housing and Urban Development.

She was appointed to that Position in June 2016 .
