Namisindwa : Since Creation of Namisindwa District in Uganda which was officially created on July 1, 2017. It was formerly part of Manafwa district , specifically the area known as "East Bubulo County". The district's headquarters are located in Bupoto about 40 km southeast of Mbale ,there has been frequent leaderships in different political seasons but service delivery has remain key dare .
Constituents from Bungatti, Bumumali,Bukhaweka,Bupoto,Buwatuwa, Bukhabusi, Buwabwala,Mukoto, Namabya,Tsekululu,Bukhaweka TC, Luwa TC, told this publication that ever since creation this county they are to frustrated with their members of parliament as they tend to abandon them and no a mandate accomplished .
Honorable Peter Wamana , an ambitious and widely exposed young man, is one of those who have expressed an interest in becoming the next MP Come 2026.
Hon Wamana is promising to connect with development partners for service delivery and to prioritize the interests of the Namisindwa county people.
Starting in early 2024 began on community engagements through reconstructing water wells which were contaminated and boreholes across Namisindwa to ensure safe water. Wamana also promised to save the environment because the weather has changed, resulting in no rain and crop failure. Wamana stated that environmental degradation has caused climate change. "We will be distributing tree seedlings for timber and fruit. He intend bring more seedlings like mangoes, oranges, cashew nuts, eucalyptus, pines, and even papaws for the farmers to curb degradation.
"It is your land that will show you that what we have given you is sufficient," Wamana said of his empowerment and climate change strategy.
On funding my projects
Someone might Ask Himself/ herself where Honorable Wamana will get the resources and money to implement all his initiatives for the people of Namisindwa county and entire district, Wamana narrated that : "We are youth....we have to continue mobilizing funds through our friends."'
"You know, people like us who have had the opportunity to grow on the other side of the country have our friends in Uganda and across the continent. We have mobilized these resources from friends of Namisindwa ,friends of central part of Uganda (Kampala ) and my personal income in assisting us with these resources and money."
Wamana urges youths in Namisindwa especially those from Namisindwa county to rise up and work hard right now in order to improve their households.
"I cannot do this alone, equipment cannot work on itself; we want the youth to rise up and bless us, even our elderly mothers rise up, our grand(fathers) also rise up and bless us."
He added that the "morning has come; the time has also come" for Namisindwa county to shine again.
Wamana has pledged to partner with local and international development actors to improve livelihoods of my people.
Hon.Wamana Peter hopeful Mp Namisindwa county, has accused previous leaders of serving personal interests over public good, promising genuine representation that puts the community first.
