Dr. Sarah Khanakwa, the inspirat woman Mp for Namisindwa District , has affirmed her commitment to empowering youth through skills development and improving access to health and education across the district.

Dr. Khanakwa made these remarks during her district-wide tour in Namisindwa, shortly after being nominated on the NRM ticket to contest for the Woman MP seat.

She noted that Namisindwa District continues to face significant challenges in education, the health sector, and youth unemployment — issues she believes require a leader with strong lobbying skills and national connections.

“If elected to represent Namisindwa as the Woman MP, I will work closely with the government to ensure that every gazetted school receives a seed school, and that hospitals are fully stocked with essential medicines,” she pledged.

Dr. Khanakwa also highlighted youth empowerment as a central part of her campaign platform.

“Our manifesto dedicates 50% of its focus to training youth in sports to develop their talents, as well as in hands-on vocational skills. As our motto says: ‘Leaving no one behind,’” she stated.

She further urged the people of Namisindwa to embrace peace and mutual respect as the country heads into the NRM primaries next month.

“In our camp, we are ready to ask for votes with humility, peace, and discipline. We do not engage in politics of hatred or enmity,” Dr. Khanakwa added.

Other candidates vying for the Namisindwa Woman MP seat include Grace Watuwa, Khalayi Peace, Dorothy

Nebokhe Walukawu.
