Sebei Bishop Prays for God to Make Museveni Younger

The Bishop of Sebei Diocese, Rt Rev Masaaba Kipto, has said that Uganda continues to benefit from President Museveni's vision and leadership in terms of development.

Masaaba made the remarks on Today  during the Presidential regional performance assessment tour focused on the Parish Development Model (PDM) and wealth creation in the Sebei sub-region.

Masaaba commended Museveni for the significant transformation of the country since he assumed power in 1986.

"You're indeed a big blessing. When you came to power in 1986, I was 18 years old. I knew how Uganda was at that time, and I can see Uganda today and I can see Uganda in the future. All these are your efforts, Your Excellence.

"Uganda is blessed to have a President like you who doesn't drink, a president who talks to people every day and night, attending people's issues. You have been travelling, I have been watching the news. May God bless you so much," he said.

Masaaba, expressed his hope that Museveni would become younger, emphasizing that the country still requires his leadership.

"A President who has a heart for his people. You want everybody to be rich. You want everybody to have at least a shilling in their home," he said.

"You want everybody to have peace. Every Sunday in our prayers, we pray for peace, we pray for our leaders. May God continue using you to develop the country. If I were God, I would even reverse your years back. We still need you," he said.

During his tour, President Museveni advised the people of Sebei sub-region to use the development and peace in Uganda to get out of poverty.

"That is why in the 1996 Manifesto, after a careful analysis, we told you, first of all you must know the difference between development and wealth and we said everybody must use development and peace to get out of poverty,” he said.

The resident made the remarks while addressing the public in Kween District.
