Preparations for celebrations of 10 years of Horizon international is set to take place on 7th September 2024 at the school premises and all procedures are in high gear in jinja city in central region of Uganda .

The School celebrates its 10th anniversary earlier next month which marks a decade since its establishment.
The school has achieved numerous milestones since its establishment in 2014, including: Cultural diversity and international community, Employment opportunities, Increased student enrollment, New Olympic swimming pool, Improved infrastructural development, Learner-centered institution, Advanced technology, Excellent Cambridge checkpoint results and IGCSE, Quality staff from national and international communities and Community involvement in charities.
According to Mr. Ibrahim Yunus the school director in charge of education, says the student body comprises children from Masese and across the country, spanning Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary levels.
Principal Mr. Godfrey Sekitoleko reflected on the school's journey, saying, "Our tenth anniversary marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of academic excellence and nurturing environment.
Over the past decade, we have been committed to providing an internationally recognized standard of education, leveraging the Cambridge curriculum's emphasis on critical thinking, global perspectives, and rigorous academic framework."
He highlighted the school's achievements, including academic successes, outstanding exam results, and impressive university placements.
Sekitoleko attributed these accomplishments to the dedication and hard work of the exceptional staff, who have been instrumental in shaping the school's success.
He noted that the community, comprising students, parents, teachers, and staff, has played a vital role in creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere that fosters both academic and personal growth.
Parents have been valued partners in education, actively engaging in their children's learning journey and supporting the school's initiatives. Teachers have not only delivered high-quality education but have also served as mentors and role models, inspiring students to reach their highest potential.

SP James Mubi, Police Spokesperson for Kira Region/Jinja, noted that since the establishment of Horizon International School Jinja, the area has experienced significant improvements, including access to water, electricity, and infrastructure development, as well as enhanced security. He highlighted that the school has created employment opportunities for local residents, including teachers, which has positively impacted their families.
Mubi appreciated the school's commitment to knowledge sharing and cultural exchange, and thanked the administrators for investing in the region.
He commended the school's secure environment, stating that they have not received any criminal reports from the school.
"As police, we prefer living in a harmonious environment, and we remark on the school's attitude upon making 10 years of achievement. Their combined efforts as security, we are very happy with you," Mubi said.
