This came last week after , Robert Kyakulanyi, the President of the National Unity Platform party made reshuffles where Mathias Mpuga was dropped as leader of opposition and replaced by Joel Senyonyi MP, for Nakawa West.
John Nambeshe Nambeshe retained his position as opposition chief whip after at first rejecting the position.
While speaking to our reporter on phone interview , Nambeshe says that he is not happy with the reshuffle because of it’s lack of regional and gender balance.
He says that since eastern has two NUP MPs, him and Woman MP for Jinja city they could have chosen one of those two to be leader of opposition than taking the position back to Central region.Nambeshe also says that this has clearly shown that the party is not showing regional balance like what other opposition parties like FDC used to do by balancing regions in terms of leader of opposition.
